On 25 May 2026 by Gillyowl

Champions League qualifers

Roma finished 3rd in Serie A with 73 points, securing Champions League football after a tense final-day battle with Milan, Como, and Juventus. Considering this was the first season under new coach Gian Piero Gasperini following the departure of club legend Claudio Ranieri, that’s a strong platform for the future.

Defenders earned league-wide recognition, with Ndicka even appearing in some season-ending Team of the Season selections. Malen emerged as Roma’s leading scorer and provided a different dimension to the attack. His adaptation was one of the success stories of the campaign.

The season ended without a trophy despite a strong league finish.

Players

  • Svilar – Continued to establish himself as one of Serie A’s best goalkeepers.
  • Evan Ndicka – Defensive leader and among the league’s standout centre-backs.
  • Donyell Malen – Roma’s primary goal threat.
  • Paulo Dybala – Remained influential when available, though managing his fitness remains crucial. a memorable one.
  • Stefan El Shaawary –  said his goodbyes to the Giallorossi after ten years with the club
