Match Report: AS Roma V Cremonese 22nd February 2026

On 23 February 2026 by Gillyowl

AS Roma 3 v 0 Cremonese

Roma fans, this one was pure second-half magic. 💛❤️

AS Roma tightened their grip on a top-four spot in Serie A with a commanding 3-0 win over Cremonese at the Olimpico — and honestly, once the Giallorossi clicked into gear, there was only ever going to be one outcome.

From the first whistle, Roma played like a side that knows exactly what’s at stake. Having already swept aside every newly-promoted team they’ve faced this season, there was real confidence in the build-up play. The pressure was constant, the intent clear. Even when the breakthrough didn’t come early, you could feel it brewing. A nervy moment for Cremonese saw Sebastiano Luperto nearly head into his own net — the warning signs were flashing.

As the half wore on, Roma started to turn the screw. Gianluca Mancini rattled the crossbar with a towering header from Bryan Zaragoza’s delivery — the Olimpico was inches away from exploding. Cremonese held out until the break, but it felt like a matter of time.

And in the second half, Roma delivered.

Donyell Malen tested Emil Audero early, but the dam finally burst just before the hour mark. Lorenzo Pellegrini whipped in a corner and Bryan Cristante rose brilliantly to power home a header that sparked bedlam in the stands. A captain’s delivery. A midfielder’s authority. A goal that had been coming all night.

With the lead secured, Roma smelled blood. Evan Ndicka went close, Malen kept probing — and then came the killer blow. Cristante again involved, flicking on Neil El Aynaoui’s corner for Ndicka to smash home his first-ever Serie A goal. A proper team goal. Relentless. Clinical.

By then, it was party time. Substitute Niccolò Pisilli put the cherry on top with a stunning first-time finish into the far corner — pure confidence, pure Roma.

The win pulls the Giallorossi level on points with third-placed Napoli and keeps the momentum firmly in their hands. As for Cremonese, their struggles continue — and against this Roma side in this mood, they never really stood a chance.

Top four locked in place. Forza Roma. 💛❤️
