This year marks the third season that Roma Club Bristol have been calling the Ye Shakespeare their home on matchdays. Over that time, the pub has become more than just a place to watch the games — it’s become part of the family.

On Matchday One, the club wanted to say a proper thank you for the warm welcome and great hospitality that the manager and bar staff always provide. To show their appreciation, they presented the pub with a framed Roma shirt — a small gesture for the big part the Ye Shakespeare plays in bringing the Giallorossi community together.

 

Roma Club Bristol is now home to around sixty passionate members, a lively mix of English and Italians from all across the South West. We come together at the pub to share the highs and lows of every match, creating a little corner of Rome right here in Bristol.

It’s not just about watching on TV either — we love following the team in person. This summer some of us travelled to catch Roma’s pre-season games against Aston Villa and Everton, keeping the Giallorossi spirit burning strong wherever the team plays.
